Campsite Information
There are 8 campsites
separated by trees and wooded areas, all will accommodate groups of around
20 scouts. Sites 2, 5 and 7 are larger and can hold groups of over 50
campers. These numbers are just a guide and are dependant on the type of
tents used and the arrangement of the camp. Sites 1, 2 ,3 and 7 have a site
hut with electric.
A Water supply is on or
close to each site. Wheelie bins are provided for campers to have on their
site for the duration of the camp. Waste needs to be placed in bin bags to
and bins returned to the bin collection point at the end of the stay.
Wet and dry pits are not
permitted. Arrangements for the disposal of any wet waste is to be above the
ground only, centre staff can offer advice.
There is a toilet and
shower block for use by all campers. Toilet cubicles and wash basins are
provided for males and females. There are 6 individual cubicles and 1
accessible toilet and shower.
Meadows beside the river
can be used as games areas as well as providing access to the river itself.
No open fires are to be
created on the campsite. Alter fires are available for use by Scout and
Guide groups.
