The school holidays are almost among us, and along with that comes our busy camping season!
We have had a busy few months providing lots of school residentials, and with that our Iceni House and Tented Village have been fully booked formany, many months. In fact, we will continue to have very limited availability for these for months in the future too. So, thank goodness for camping!
Eaton Vale is a popular location for Scouts and Guides for their summer camping trips. It’s understandable why, as we have masses of wide open areas, lovely tree-lined campsites, and our central toilet block that is maintained multiple times a day. It also helps that camping is only 3 per person per night, so it is extremely affordable.
If you would like to book your camping trip with us, please contact us. Be quick though, as we don’t have much availability left!

Come along to the Finnbar’s Force Adventure Day here at Eaton Vale Activity Centre!
We’re pleased to be teaming up with Finnbar’s Force for a fundraising adventure day. Finnbar’s Force are a charity close to the hearts of many members of staff here at Eaton Vale. We’re very excited to be joining them in their fight against childhood brain tumours, and welcoming them to our centre on the 10th September.
Thrill seeking children and adults can try any of the adventurous activities (some minimum age/height/size restrictions will apply to some activities), but there will be something for everyone!
The main activities will be: Family Canoeing, Archery, Abseiling, Axe Throwing, Air Rifle Shooting, High/Low Ropes, Trapeze, Catapult, Grass Sledging, Go Karts. There will be plenty for smaller children too, with fair game stalls, soft play, bouncy castle, face painting, circus skills, story telling and lots more!
We will have a selection of stalls to browse, health & well being tents, BBQ, a cafe with tea/coffee and cakes. There will also be local display teams performing throughout the day as well as live music from a local band and compeering from a local comedian!
Free entry. Free on site parking, although please walk or use alternative transport where possible to minimise congestion!
The summer season is well and truly in swing, and many of you know that we ran an Archery GB course at the start of the season to train many of our new seasonal staff. It was incredibly successful, and now almost all of our team hold an Archery GB Coaching qualification.
With an Archery GB qualification, our instructors can lead both archery and axe throwing here at Eaton Vale Activity Centre. It’s a great qualification to have under your belt. Whether you’re a Scout leader or have a passion for archery, this course will teach you everything you need to know about archery and how to run beginning sessions.
“You learn how to tailor sessions to individual needs, including those with physical disabilities to make it accessible for everyone.” – Dom, seasonal instructor
This course will be ran from the 22nd September to the 24th September. For more information, please visit:
