Halloween Activity Night Details

Our Halloween Event is back for another year! Inviting you to join us for a spooky evening as Eaton Vale hosts the scariest and most adventurous night of the year!

Our event starts at 5pm.

Please arrive anytime from 4.30pm.

The event finishes at midnight however if you would like an earlier pick up time for our younger members such as Cubs and Brownies this will be at 10pm.

For those of you who are staying overnight please arrange to have departed site by 10am breakfast will be served at 9am.

Event Plan

During the evening we will have a range of our outdoor activities open for young people to take part in, these will be ran on a drop in basis so that young people can choose what they wish to participate in.

Dinner will be served between 6.30-8pm. Each leader will be issued with tokens for their units which can be used in exchange for their meal.

Free tea and coffee will be provided for adults, please bring a reusable mug/cup.

Kit List:

None Overnight Participants

Please come to event wearing/with:

  • Outdoor footwear
  • Halloween Costume (if wished) Please ensure that young people wear lots of warm layers under this costume. No hair dye please, as they damage our helmets.
  • Outdoor coat
  • Waterproof jacket
  • Waterproof trousers
  • Hat, scarf, gloves
  • Torch
  • Money for the shop (we would recommend no more than £5)

Please note that this year we will be offering canoeing as an activity so young people may wish to bring a complete change of clothes.

Overnight Participants:

As above including:

  • Warm Sleeping bag and small pillow
  • Long, warm pyjamas
  • Warm jacket or fleece
  • Full change of clothes including change of underwear and socks (plus spare pairs)
  • Slippers or indoor shoes
  • Personal wash kit (soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, flannel etc)
  • Torch and batteries
  • Cuddly friend
  • Plastic bags for dirty/wet items

Leaders Information

Children and adults will be sleeping either within Iceni house or the tented village. We will not mix boys and girls in rooms, but dependent upon numbers may join units together in rooms. As an adult please come prepared to share rooms.

A Risk Assessment for the event has been included please ensure that you read this and share this with all unit leaders.

Please note that during the event and overnight responsibility for your group will be yours. This includes first aid.

A member of staff will not be present onsite overnight but will be contactable in the event of an emergency.
