Eaton Vale is a 13.5 acre Scout and Guide Activity Centre in Norfolk. Tucked away in the village of Eaton, Eaton Vale has a wide range of outdoor activities, 6 large camping spaces holding up to 250 happy campers, an ‘Alpine Village’ allowing 62 people a glamping experience, and a modern accommodation building able to sleep up to 82 people across two floors (46 on the ground floor and 36 on the top floor).
The centre is here for you whether you want a single activity for a birthday party, or a week long activity-filled camping experience.
We are approved by Adventure Mark and the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom, making us the perfect school residential trip. Please see our schools page for more information.
Our History
Founded in 1999 as a joint venture by Norfolk Scouts and Girlguiding Norfolk, Eaton Vale Scout and Guide Activity Centre was set up.
In February 2002, Iceni House was opened, which was a state-of-the-art residential facility.
May of 2002, Eaton Vale held its first open day, having Scouts and Guides from all over Norfolk come and have a go at a number of outdoor activities.
2006 Blondie’s High Ropes was built, bringing a host of new activities to Eaton Vale including Jacobs Ladder and the Trapeze.
In 2024 Eaton Vale celebrated it’s 25th birthday, marking the event with a one-off circus event for all sections of Scouting and Guiding, and an open day which welcomed members of Scouting, Guiding, and the general public to explore the site and archives.
Eaton Vale has continued to grow the activities that it offers. Providing a vital role shaping the young people of Norfolk’s lives and providing them with many happy memories.
