If you are visiting us from afar, here is a sample of some of the wonderful attractions that Norfolk has to offer.

Walking distance from the centre

  • Marston Marsh – (2 minute walk) Right on the centres doorstep a lovely circular walk which will take around 45 minutes to an hour.
  • Eaton Park – (30 minute walk) A stunning park with a huge range of bookable sport activities (Mini golf, tennis, bowls and more) in addition to a boating pond,  and a rideable miniature railway.
  • Sainsbury Centre – (35 minute walk) An art gallery with traveling exhibitions and a permeant exhibit, offer learning experiences for youth groups and was used as the set for Avengers HQ since Age of Ultron.
  • UEA Sportspark – (35 minute walk) A dedicated sports centre with swimming pool and a number of courts available to hire.

Public transport from the centre

  • Norwich Castle Museum – (11A/5B bus towards the city) A museum housed in a 900-year-old Castle, which is a prominent feature of Norwich.
  • Norwich Cathedral – (11A/5B bus towards the city)
  • Riverside Entertainment Complex – A entertainment complex situated right on the the River Wensum. Hosting a cinema, trampoline park, bowling and much more a great place to spend an action packed day.
  • Norfolk Snowsports Club – (11A/5B bus towards the city 40/41 towards Poringland) A Snowsports centre which offers skiing, snowboarding and tubing.

Beaches

  • Great Yarmouth – 40 Minutes – Pleasure Beach Theme Park, Sea Life Centre, model village, crazy golf and loads more. Fireworks every Wednesday at 10pm during summer holidays
  • Cromer – 55 minutes – Cromer Pier, crabbing, lovely beach, lifeboat museum, surf school and loads more.
  • Sheringham – 1 hour – Sheringham Park, rock pooling, North Norfolk Steam Railway, pitch and putt, and loads more.

Norfolk Broads

  • Wroxham – 30 Minutes – Known as the ‘Capital of the Broads’, great for boat hire, Bure Valley Railway, Wroxham Miniature Worlds Wroxham Barns and loads more.
  • Salhouse – 25 Minutes – Hoveton Great Broad Nature Trail, Parks, Churches
  • How Hill – 40 Minutes – Toad Hole Cottage Museum, How Hill Tea room, guided electric boat trip, How Hill House and Secret Gardens

Attractions

  • Banham Zoo – 35 Minutes – Banham Zoo is one of the most exciting zoos in the country with over 2,000 animals from around the world. Throughout the day there are plenty of activities to thrill and entertain
  • Pleasurewood Hills – 50 Minutes – Pleasurewood Hills has over 35 rides, shows and attractions so there’s something for everyone whether you’re a thrill seeker or not!
  • Thetford Forrest –  35 Minutes – A patchwork of pines, heathland and broadleaves provide the ideal setting for a great day out.
