May Circus Event Holiday Club

Roll up! Roll up! Eaton Vale has the circus in town celebrating 25 years of Eaton Vale Scout and Guide Activity Centre.

We are offering places for an extended holiday club day including a 3 outdoor activities, a circus workshop and even a circus show provided by Circus Ferrell to top off the day.
The extended day runs from 9am – 7pm

The circus event will only be available for 3 dates this May, so book fast.

We recommend only booking 1 day of Circus Holiday Club event, as the activities and circus show will be the same each day. Our regular May holiday club will be running throughout the May half term.

The price per person per day is £40 and can be booked online here

The day will consist of 3 outdoor activities, a circus workshop and a performance by Circus Ferrell

Daily Schedule for Holiday Club

The activities that young people will take part in will be planned around the qualifications of the instructors running the provision that day, alongside the weather forecast. We also fit our Holiday Club provision in around any other bookings that the centre has that day therefore it is impossible to say what activities we will be doing each day.

For our Circus Event Holiday club young people will be in one group for the duration of the day.

A Circus Event Holiday club day may look like this:
• 8.45 – 10.00: Registration and welcome games
• 10-12.45: Activity sessions including a break
• 12.45 – 1.30: Lunch and free time
• 1.30 – 4.15: Activity sessions including a break
• 4.30-6.30: Circus Show
• 7pm: Pick-up time

Kit List

Please note that we will not be running water sessions during our Circus Event Holiday club.
Wear:
• Clothing you can get dirty and is suitable for the weather conditions that day.
• Outdoor shoes. Site can be wet especially first thing in the morning, and we would therefore advise that young people wear suitable outdoor shoes (such as boots) as having wet feet all day is miserable. Furthermore, slip on shoes are not suitable for Holiday club and will mean that young people will not be able to participate in activities.
• Weather suitable coat.
• Weather suitable hat.
• Suncream.
Bring:
• A refillable drinks bottle.
• Large Lunch and snacks.
• Circus money (see below).

Lunch

Every young person will need their own packed lunch, we would suggest that they bring a large packed lunch as they will be with us for a long day. We are likely to have time before the Circus Show for a large snack, so a second sandwich or something similar to eat at this point would be great please. Please be aware that as we are outdoors and active for the day, young people will often eat more.

Shop

We will not be visiting the Eaton Vale shop during the event; however the Circus will be selling refreshments and merchandise. We would recommend no more than £10 however much less will also be fine. Brining money is also optional.
